If you’re in downtown Chicago on your wedding day, you’ve made the right choice (as a team of Chicago wedding planners, we’d know!). And if you’re celebrating at the Kimpton Gray Hotel, the stage is set for a classic Windy City wedding.

Emily and Trevor’s wedding was every Chicago-loving couple’s dream day. From strolling downtown in their wedding attire to partying on a rooftop with skyscraper views, the city’s unmistakable energy set the tone for their celebration. Our team, led by Mya Maynard, coordinated the wedding. We oversaw vendor setup, so Emily and Trevor could focus on making memories with their favorite people.

A Timeless Wedding at the Kimpton Gray Hotel

Every detail of Emily and Trevor’s wedding was classic and timeless, pairing beautifully with the Kimpton Gray Hotel’s marble staircases and refined interiors. The wedding party wore black gowns and tuxes, while Emily and her attendants carried monochromatic white bouquets. The Flower Firm’s floral design was intentionally pared back. Roses, hydrangeas, and baby’s breath mounted on white pedestals featured at the ceremony and were later repurposed in front of the sweetheart table.

An Energetic Rooftop Party at Boleo

Boleo is the Kimpton Gray Hotel’s rooftop bar and lounge, and the feature that sold Emily and Trevor on the venue. The space has a retractable roof so you can party under the stars, surrounded by the sights and sounds of downtown Chicago. Cocktail hour and the dancing portion of the reception both took place at Boleo, with the roof open, of course! As the DJ from Paul Michaels Events began playing his set, the celebration’s energy transformed, evoking an elevated nightclub setting.
